For your website and terms
CopyA 30% deposit secures your booking. The balance is charged automatically to the same card 7 days before the trip; we send a reminder before that happens. Cancel 14 days or more before the trip for a full refund of everything paid. Cancel 7 days or more and less than 14 days before the trip for a 50% refund. Cancellations within 7 days of the trip are not refundable. You may move your booking to another available date at no charge up to 7 days before the trip, subject to availability. Later changes are treated as a cancellation. If we cancel a trip for weather, safety, water or snow conditions, or any reason on our side, you choose between a full refund and a credit toward a future trip. If you do not arrive for your trip, or arrive too late to take part safely, the booking is treated as a same-day cancellation and is not refundable. Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Card processing fees already paid to the card network are not refundable where the law allows.

A cancellation policy is read twice: once by a guest deciding whether to book, and once by the same guest asking for money back. If it is vague the second reading goes badly for everyone. A good policy names the deposit, says exactly when a cancellation earns a full refund, a partial refund or none, treats a cancellation on your side differently from one on theirs, and covers the awkward cases, rescheduling, no-shows and a group that does not reach its minimum, before they happen.
The generator asks those questions in plain words and writes the answers as policy text. The windows you choose are the same windows Treka uses to produce the cancellation wording a guest sees in the booking flow, and the deposit and balance settings match what a trip carries in the portal, so the policy you publish and the policy the booking enforces are the same policy.
Deposits are taken at booking as a percentage or a fixed amount, and the balance is charged automatically before the trip or collected on the day. Refund windows come from a policy on the trip, with standard, moderate and strict presets or your own wording, and the guest reads the derived text at checkout. When you cancel or move a date, everyone booked on it is told and the refund or the credit is handled in the same step. Guests can request a date change, which you approve or decline.
Copy the long version to your website's terms and paste the short version wherever guests pay. If you run on Treka, set the deposit and refund policy on the trip and the checkout shows it automatically.

Cancel or move the date from the booking. Everyone booked on it is notified, and the refund or the credit is handled in the same step rather than in a run of phone calls.
Guests can request a new date from their booking. You approve or decline the request, and the booking moves with its payment attached.
