How it works

How a booking happens in Treka

  1. Step 01

Publish the trip with its dates and seats

A trip carries its price, its capacity per departure and the dates you will actually run. Publish it and it is bookable on your Treka site, on the widget in your own website and, if you list there, on the Treka Marketplace.

  2. Step 02

    The guest books and pays

They choose a date, the number of guests and any add-ons, answer the questions you ask at checkout and pay by card through Stripe. A deposit or the full amount, whichever the trip asks for.

  3. Step 03

    Treka does the paperwork

The confirmation email goes out with your wording, the waiver link follows it, the balance is scheduled and the booking appears on the roster for that date with the client record created or updated.

  4. Step 04

You assign the guide and run the day

Open the date, put a guide on it and they see the manifest in their own portal. Changes, refunds and date moves happen from the booking, and the guest hears about each one automatically.

Built for

Why direct bookings matter more than they used to

Most guided trips are still booked by email and paid by bank transfer or a card number read over the phone. It works until the season gets busy, and then the questions start: did they pay, did they sign, who is on Saturday, did anyone confirm the second boat. Online booking is not about replacing the conversation with a guest. It is about making sure that once they say yes, everything that follows is written down and done.

With Treka the yes happens on a page you control. The price is yours, the wording is yours and the guest's details land on the booking, the roster and the client record at once. The 3% booking fee is added at checkout and paid by the guest, so your listed price stays yours, and Stripe's card processing is billed at cost.

Three ways to sell a date

Scheduled trips have departures you publish, each with its own capacity. Open-range trips open a season and let the guest choose their start and length inside it, with per-day capacity. Custom-request trips have no public dates at all: the guest asks, you approve, and the booking link you send carries the agreed price. Many operators run all three on one account, which is how a mixed season actually looks.

FAQ

Questions: online booking

Book a demo

Do guests need an account to book?

No. They book as a guest with their name, email and card. Their details create a client record on your side, so a returning guest is recognised the next time they book.

Can I take bookings over the phone as well?

Yes. Add the booking yourself from the portal, charge the card there or mark it as paid outside Treka, and the guest receives the same confirmation, waiver and reminders as an online booking.

How do private or custom trips work?

Build the trip for that party, set the price you agreed and send them the booking link. Only that link can book it. A guest who sends a date request through your site is answered the same way once you approve it.

What happens when a guest wants to change the date?

They request the change from their booking; it lands in your date requests inbox where you approve, decline or suggest another date. The booking, the roster and the guest's confirmation update when you decide.

Which payment methods are accepted?

Cards through Stripe, with Apple Pay and Google Pay where the guest's device offers them. Operators who prefer it can also allow bank-transfer checkout for larger trips and mark the payment received when it arrives.

Can bookings come from my own website?

Yes. Embed the booking widget in the site you have, or use the booking site Treka hosts on your domain. Bookings from both land in the same portal.

Is this included, or an add-on?

Included in every plan. Every company starts with 30 days of Core, free. After that Core is $99 a month, or $79 a month billed yearly ($948), and Pro is $399 a month, or $329 a month billed yearly ($3,948). Pro adds custom AI agents, SEO optimization and a named contact. A custom website built by our team is quoted separately; book a demo to scope it. A 3% booking fee is added at checkout and paid by the guest; Stripe's card processing (2.9% + 30¢) is billed at cost. No contract.

Can I bring my existing trips and clients over?

Yes. Point Treka at your current website and it imports your trips, prices and photos; client lists come in from a spreadsheet or an export from your current system. Self-serve setup is free, and white-glove migration is $749 one-time on monthly plans and free on annual.
