Booking software for horseback and pack trip outfitters

Hourly rides and week-long pack trips, one string, one calendar.

Hourly trail rides by the dozen and week-long pack trips booked a year out are two different businesses on one string of horses. Treka runs both from one calendar, with the questions you need answered before anyone is matched to a saddle.

Why it’s different

What horseback and pack trip outfitters actually need

01

Who's riding, known before the ride

Every rider is on the roster with their waiver, an emergency contact and the notes you keep on them, and guests leave their requests when they book, so the string is matched the night before rather than at the hitching rail.

02

Hourly rides and multi-day trips on one calendar

A one-hour ride with six departures a day and a five-day pack trip with a deposit and a balance are both bookings in the same system, with their own capacity, pricing and guides.

03

A waiver from every rider, signed at home

Waivers go to each person on the booking, parents sign for minors, and you see who hasn't before the trailer leaves.

A day in your operation

From the ten o'clock ride to the five-day pack trip

  1. Overnight

    Rides book themselves

Six departures a day, each capped at the horses you have, fill from your site while you sleep.

    Capacity per departure
  2. Before arrival

    Every rider signs

Waivers go to each rider on the booking, with a parent or guardian signing for a minor, before anyone reaches the barn.

    A waiver from every guest
  3. The night before

    The string is matched

The roster shows who's riding, their notes and their emergency contact, so horses are assigned before the trucks pull in.

  4. Months out

A pack trip takes a deposit

A family books five days in the backcountry, pays the deposit, and the balance charges on the date you set.

  5. Storm day

    The trail closes

Cancel or move the departure from the booking. Riders are told and the refund or credit is handled in the same step.

  6. Off season

Gift cards and the comeback email

Gift cards sell rides in December, and a spring campaign brings last year's riders back.

FAQ

Questions horseback and pack trip outfitters ask us

Something else? Ask the people who build it.

Talk to us

Can I find out riders' weight and experience before the ride?

Guests leave requests and details when they book, your waiver wording can ask each rider for what you need, and the roster keeps notes, medical notes and an emergency contact against every booking. The wrangler reads one list, not a thread of emails.

Can I limit a ride to the number of horses I have?

Yes. Each departure has its own capacity and the calendar stops selling at it. Run several departures a day, each with its own number of saddles.

Can pack trips take a deposit with the balance later?

Yes. Set a deposit and choose when the balance is due and whether it charges automatically or is collected by you. The schedule is on the guest's confirmation.

What happens when weather closes the trail?

Move or cancel the departure from the booking. Everyone on it is told, and the refund or credit is handled in the same step rather than in a run of phone calls.

Can I sell gift cards for rides?

Yes. Gift cards are part of the platform, sold from your site and redeemed at checkout, with no separate subscription.

What does Treka cost?

Every company starts with 30 days of Core, free, no card required. After that it's $99 a month for Core (the whole platform, run by you) or $399 a month for Pro, which adds custom AI agents built for your business, SEO optimization to drive more bookings, and a named contact. A custom website built by our team is quoted separately; book a demo to scope it. Pay yearly and get two months free: $948 for Core ($79 a month) or $3,948 for Pro ($329 a month). Self-serve setup is free; white-glove migration is $749 one-time on monthly plans and free on annual. No contract. A 3% booking fee is added at checkout and paid by the guest; Stripe card processing (2.9% + 30¢) is billed at cost.

Do I have to replace my website?

No. You can either use the site Treka builds you, on your own domain, or keep the site you have and embed the booking widget into it. Both are supported.
